Whites to play pre-season in Germany behind closed doors

Leeds United have been told in the last week by police and local authorities that they will have to play games during their pre-season camp in Germany behind closed doors

They have been asked to discourage supporter travel and also cannot provide live updates or streams of matches.

Leeds had sought and initially received assurances, after encountering late problems last summer when they were also asked not to bring supporters to Germany.

A club statement added: "This result is deeply frustrating to all of us, just as it is sure to frustrate and anger you, our loyal supporters, to whom we apologise unreservedly for this outcome."
