Hibs have today revealed that midfielder Nathan Moriah-Welsh has signed for English side Mansfield Town.
The 23-year-old has signed for the League One side for an undisclosed fee, and signs a two-year-deal.
Moriah-Welsh leaves Easter Road having played 40 times for the Hibees, scoring 1 goal.
The Guyana international signed for the Hibees in January 2024 from Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee, after a spell on loan with Newport County.
Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss David Gray said:
“First of all, I would like to wish Nathan all the very best for his future career. He is a good professional and he has been brilliant to work with.
“Unfortunately, we couldn’t provide Nathan with as much game-time as he would’ve liked, due to the number of options we have in the middle of the pitch. Hopefully, he will be able to kick-on and embrace this new challenge at Mansfield Town.”
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
This one comes as a bit of a surprise to us here at Hibs-Mad Towers.
Nathan, despite not playing all that regulary, had a good season in the green and white last time out.
However it seems he has left to get more game time, which you can't blame him.
The Hibees have already sign Josh Mulligan, have Alasana Manneh getting a first pre-season, and are still chasing the re-signing of Nectar Triantis from Sunderland.
Good luck to Nathan with his new club.
