Hibs could finally be about to make thier first signing of the January transfer window.
According to the Edinburgh Evening News, the Hibees have targeted OB Odense midfielder Alasana Manneh.
The 26-year-old has entered the final 6 months of his contract with the Danish club and the Hibees have entered discussions with a former European Foe, to sign the Gambian international.
Apparently sources in Denmark claim that the player is keen on the move to the Hibees, and if talks break down, Hibs are expected to move to sign Manneh on a pre-contract.
Manneh started his career in the Aspire Academy, but then impressed enough to land a move to Barcelona's La Masia in 2016.
He made it into the Barca B squad, but was then loaned out to Spanish side Sabadell, followed by Bulgarian side Etar.
Manneh then left Barca and signed a permanent deal with Polish side Gornik Zabrze in 2019.
He then moved to Odense in 2022. He has been capped 12 times for Gambia.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
A much needed new addition should we get this over the line.
With Joe Newell injured, Kwon off-form and the likes of Levitt and Amos either failing to nail down a starting spot, or on their way out of the club, an addition or two in midfield is most welcome.
Manneh has plenty experience at a decent level and would provide some much needed new blood into an on-form Hibs side.
It's now the waiting game to see if the club can get it over the line.
