No Change At Under 21 Level

Honest, I never read the small print
The does not appear to be a chance of any change at the helm of Scotland’s Under 21 team. Despite being in charge of the team that played the in-eligible Steven Whittaker against Italy last Friday, Rainer Bonhof looks to have weathered the storm and will keep his job. SFA chief executive David Taylor said: "
Rainer is playing a key role in the development of the team. An avoidable error was made, internal disciplinary action is being taken, and new safeguards are being put in place."

Bonhof said: "
There was an administrative error regarding Steven Whittaker, but it has no bearing on my commitment to the Under-21 team. There are some exciting talents coming through in Scotland and I am determined to help them fulfil their potential." While there were some murmurings about Bonhof’s position when former Scotland boss Berti Vogts resigned in November last year, the ex-West German international continued to work under Walter Smith. His record has not set the world on fire but he does appear to have the support and respect of his young charges. And indeed his bosses.
