Tuchel unhappy as England toil

A single Harry Kane goal just after half-time spared England's blushes on Saturday evening as they edged past minnows Albania to make it three wins out of three in their World Cup qualifying group.

Noni Madueke of Chelsea had a hand in the winner and his display was the only real positive to take, aside from the three points, away from the game in Barcelona.

Andorra's intentions, as expected, were to defend deep and frustrate England and they managed that to the extent that the visiting supporters jeered their side off after a goalless first-half.

The June international window can often produce laboured performances and Tuchel's side came into the game on the back of a long season but the manager offered 'no excuses' when speaking to the media afterwards.

"There was a lack of being aggressive in duels and then it becomes like what we saw and it did not have the quality we wish," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.

A full-house at the City Ground on Tuesday will hopefully spark the Three Lions into life for their final international of the season, a friendly against Senegal.
