A first ever major trophy for Crystal Palace, after a dramatic FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, secured by two England internationals under the gaze of manager Thomas Tuchel.

Eberechi Eze once again showed a taste for the big occasion, striking home the only goal of the game against Manchester City after a flowing move from a Palace side who had spent most of the opening 15 minutes penned back in their own half.

But it was goalkeeper Dean Henderson who took centre-stage, surviving a VAR check against a possible sending-off to then save a penalty and pull off a number of other big stops to spark wild scenes amongst the Eagles supporters at the final whistle.

Marc Guehi, until being forced off through injury, was part of a determined Palace defensive effort while Adam Wharton once again showed why such a big future is predicted for the 21-year-old.

Tuchel watched the game in close proximity to two of the men who have held the England job as well, former Palace manager Roy Hodgson and ex-Selhurst Park defender Gareth Southgate both in attendance.
