Hibs have tonight revealed that they have taking up the option to extend Martin Boyle's contract.
The club has decided to trigger the extension clause in his last contract that automatically adds another year on to his stay at Easter Road.
32-year-old Boyle is currently having his best season in Edinburgh, now being involved in 29 goal contributions, scoring 19 goals and adding 10 assists.
Boyle joined the Hibees in 2015, initially on loan, from Dundee, and apart from a short stint playing in Saudi Arabia, he has been with the club ever since.
"We're delighted to extend Martin's contract, and this decision makes complete sense for the football club," said head coach Gray.
"Boyler has been an outstanding servant to Hibernian and his contribution on the field has been demonstrated yet again this season with his invaluable goals and assists.
"Not only that, he has also stepped into the role of captain in Joe Newell's absence and has demonstrated his leadership qualities with extra responsibility.
"Having played with him and coached him, he is the type of player that knows exactly what it means to play for Hibernian FC, and he will be a real asset for us next year."
The Aussie international has now played over 360 games for the Hibees, scoring 98 goals.

Just incredible news.
Well done everyone at the club.
To get our talisman tied up for one more year is a brilliant piece of business and adds to the feel-good factor already around the club.
Boyle will be a massive player for us next season.
