Hibs have announced that defender Jack Iredale has signed a new contract.
The 28-year-old former Bolton Wanderers defender has signed a deal that keeps him at Easter Road until the summer of 2028.
Iredale signed for Hibs last summer, and after taking a little while to force his way into the side, has become one of the first names on the team sheet, with some outstanding performances in the green and white.
He has now played 28 times for the club, and has formed a formidable partnership with the likes of Rocky Bushiri, Warren O'Hora, Lewis Miller and Marvin Ekpiteta in the Hibees back-line.
Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss David Gray said:
“He had to wait patiently for his chance this season, but he grasped it with both hands and is thoroughly deserving of his new deal.
“We are all excited to continue working with Jack over the next few years.”
Hibernian FC Sporting Director Malky Mackay added:
“We are delighted that Jack has committed his future to the Club. He is a good character and role model for the younger players coming through, and an all-round top professional.
“He adds consistency and strength in depth to our back-line, and is a big part of our plans moving forward. His performances this season have been excellent and we are all excited to watch his progress over the next few seasons.”

Outstanding news!!
Jack has been nothing short of an absolute rock in the Hibs defence, and his new deal is richly deserved.
He arrived with little fanfare and looked like a solid, dependable signing - he has become much more!!!
His screamer of a winning goal against Hearts in the last Edinburgh Derby has also ensured his name in Hibs fan folklore.
Hopefully there is loads more to come!!
