Hibs have today announced that head coach David Gray has signed a new deal.
The 36-year-old club legend, along with his entire backroom staff, have agreed contract extensions with the club.
Gray has signed a new three-year-deal to extend his stay at Easter Road.
This news, of course, comes off the back of the Hibees incredible 17 game unbeaten run in the league, that now equals the club record, that was set back in the late 40's and the start of the era of the Famous Five.
Hibs having climbed off the foot of the Premiership table to now sit 3rd.
Eddie May, Liam Craig, and Craig Samson have also extended their stays with the Club.
Speaking to the official club website, Gray said:
“This is a football club that means a lot to me, my family, and my staff, and we’re delighted to have signed new deals. I’ve been very open about the support we’ve received from the Board and it means a lot to be backed by the Gordon Family, and Malky Mackay.
“There have been ups and downs this season, but the turnaround we’ve had is due to everyone’s hard work. The players and the staff have worked tirelessly to get us in the position we’re in heading into the split.
“As a collective group, we want to continue making the supporters proud. They have been with us every step of the way this season, and we can’t thank them enough for that.
“The aim for us to build on our performances and to pick up as many points as possible. We’re excited about the future here at Hibs.”
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW:
Fantastic news!!
Gray has worked wonders in the dug-out after and absolutely appaling start to the season, that had some quarters wanting his head after 12 games.
However, the club, thankfully, finally gave a manager time to build something and it is now paying dividends.
The Hibees are flying and are on course for a return to European football, and are currently in pole-position for a 3rd place finish.
