Davey forced to wait on deals
Barnsley manager Simon Davey has admitted that his is frustrated by the amount of time being taken to try and bring a number of new players to Oakwell.
Davey is still hopeful of completing a number of deals, but accepts that he face plenty of competition.
He told the club's official website: "We are having to be patient this season. We have targets, the same targets we have had for the last three weeks.
"It's proving a bit difficult to overcome the final hurdle, but we are close to getting three or four of our final targets and we're confident of getting them in the building.
"We sign players and people don't realise that three or four clubs also come in for them.
"It's down to myself and the staff to sell the club to them and that's why it sometimes takes so long."
