Coyle hopes to land Guerrero
Burnley manager Owen Coyle hopes to make Ecuadorian winger Fernando Guerrero his sixth summer signing.
The 19-year-old Independiente Della Valle player has impressed Coyle during a recent trial with the Clarets and scored once in last week's 5-0 pre-season friendly win against Ventura County Fusion.
Coyle said: "He's certainly not the finished article, but he's the type of player that I like.
"He's exciting. We've got a few of them, but I like four or five of them."
Meanwhile. Coyle remains keen to land Norwich City midfielder Darel Russell.
The 28-year-old has one year left on his current Carrow Road deal, but a proposed move to Turf Moor earlier in the summer faltered when Norwich placed a £600,000 price-tag on the player's head.
Coyle could renew his interest in the player before the transfer window closes next month.
Finally, first year professional striker Wes Fletcher is thought to be close to agreeing a six-month loan switch to Partick Thistle.
