Bennett eyes Mariners charge
Grimsby Town captain Ryan Bennett is hopeful that his side can mount a promotion challenge in the coming campaign.
The 19-year-old defender, who signed a new four-year contract at Blundell Park this summer, believes that boss Mike Newell has brought in a number of players to improve the Mariners squad.
Bennett told the Evening Telegraph: "Everybody knows the players we have signed and the calibre we have. There's no reason to suggest we won't do well this season.
"There is a lot of optimism about and that's shown in the season ticket sales.
"If we can go out there and start where we finished last year, we can be at the right end of the table."
