Werder plan to sell Almeida
Portugal international striker Hugo Almeida is set to leave Werder Bremen this summer, according to reports.
The 25-year-old is believed to be surplus to requirements at the Hanseaten after spending the last three seasons in the Bundesliga.
He joined Werder from FC Porto in the summer of 2006, but has started only 69 games since then, finding the net 35 times.
It is believed that Werder are keen to sell Almedia so they can push ahead with a deal to sign Croatia international Mario Mandzukic from Dinamo Zagreb.
Werder are also looking to sell Ivorian forward Boubacar Sanogo, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Hoffenheim.
