Veh relishes Wolfsburg job
New Wolfsburg coach Armin Veh is excited about the prospects of taking charge of the newly-crowned Bundesliga champions.
The 48-year-old former Stuttgart boss has signed a two-year contract with the Wolves, following Felix Magath's decision to quit the club to join Schalke this summer.
Veh told reporters: "I am pleased to take over this team. It is a wonderful if difficult task for me, but I know how to deal with it.
"I believe this team has great potential. They are a young side who will also enjoy success in the future."
Meanwhile, Wolves defender Andrea Barzagli has spoken of his delight at becoming a league champion in his first season in Germany.
The 28-year-old Italian left Palermo last summer and was a key figure in the shock title success.
He told Italian TV: "It's a great satisfaction to win the title and I can say that we certainly didn't expect this at the start of the season.
"We are a very offensive team, something that you don't often see in Italy. We score a lot of goals and I am definitely enjoying my life in Germany.
"The project of Wolfsburg is to further strengthen the team and achieve even better results in the future.
"However, I think that it is impossible for Adrian Mutu to join this club, as I don't feel that there is any truth in the rumours."
