PSG's Move for Chelsea's Tiémoué Bakayoko Breaks Down Over Valuation

AS Monaco loanee Tiémoué Bakayoko's possible move to Paris Saint-Germain is now off the table, as talks between the French champions and the player's parent club Chelsea broke down.

The midfielder, who appears to have little future at Stamford Bridge, had been a target of PSG sporting director Leonardo, who also brought him on loan to AC Milan in 2018/19.

Le Sport 10 claim that after several meetings between PSG and Chelsea, negotiations broke down because of the Blues' high price tag.

The west London club are reportedly asking for €35m (around £31m) for Bakayoko, who they shelled out £40m for in 2017. However, in view of the financial difficulties brought on by the COVID-19 crisis, it is reported that PSG don't see the deal as feasible.

It is said that Leonardo will be looking elsewhere for a midfielder with AC Milan's Ismaël Bennacer and Roma's Lorenzo Pellegrini the main targets.

After a difficult start, Bakayoko left a good impression at San Siro, with I Rossoneri also looking at a possible re-signing after his Monaco loan is up.

West Ham are also keeping very close tabs but despite the Hammers presence, the Milan outfit are leading the two-horse race.

Bakayoko has only played a total of 29 times in the league for Chelsea since 2017, with his contract running until June 2022.
