Lisandro Martinez dismisses criticism & concerns over height

Lisandro Martinez has brushed off concerns over his height the criticism that was aimed at him following his start at Manchester United.

Pundits were quick to point out Martinez's 5'9 height as United endured a poor start to the season, losing to Brighton and Brentford while shipping six goals in the process.

However, the Red Devils have since won their last four games in the Premier League and Martinez has formed a solid partnership with Raphael Varane.

"To be honest, it’s a dream come true to be playing at such a big club as Manchester United, especially playing in the Premier League, which I think is one of the best leagues in the world,” Martinez told TyC Sports.

"It’s nice to catch the rhythm of the Premier League, so I’m very happy.

"I don’t pay attention [to criticism]. I believe in myself, I trust myself. I always work hard every day. That’s what’s going to give you results at the end."
