The head coach said "Wootts knows how highly myself and the club value him.
"I think that's been seen by the leadership responsibilities he's got this season at a relatively young age.
"He's been extremely valuable since I've come in.
"It's no secret that he is out of contract at the end of the season, but I'm sure if you ask Kyle, he really enjoys his football at Notts County.
"It shows from his performance in the way he carries himself every day that he's only focused to be here and when the time is right we bring up his future to him.
"But right now he just needs to think about playing football, scoring goals and nothing else really."
