Hibs have today announced that winger Daniel Mackay has joined Kilmarnock on loan.

The exciting 20-year-old has joined Derek McInnes' Championship side on loan until the end of the season.

Mackay signed for the Hibees on a four-year-deal from Inverness Caledonian Thistle, in aa six-figure deal in May 2021.

The Hibees will be hoping Mackay can excel at Championship level again and gain some much needed first team experience.

Mackay has aplyed 6 times for the Hibees, scoring 1 goal, in the Europa Conference league against Santa Coloma.

Hibernian-Mad View:

A surprising move, Dan started his Hibs career in pretty good form, but then picked up an unfortunate injury.

He has not long returned, but it was expected he would compete in the first team for the last half of the season.

However, with the Hibees having multiple options on both wings, it's maybe a good idea that he goes out and plays games, ready to com back for pre-season next season.
