Hbs have today announced that development defender Allan Delferrière has signed on loan for feeder club FC Edinburgh.

The Belgian central defender, who joined the Hibees from Standard Liege, has signed for the Scottish League One side until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has joined team-mates Jack Brydon and American youngster Emmanuel Johnson at Meadowbank and means the now have a full quota of players from Hibs this season.

Hibs have inserted a clause in the deal that allows them to recall the player in January should they wish.

He can also play for the development squad should Hibs wish.

Hibs Academy boss Steve Kean, speaking to the official club website said:

“Our priority for Allan was gaining him regular minutes and consistency in his game-time.

“With him potentially playing twice a week – once with the Development Squad and once with FC Edinburgh – he will constantly be pushing himself and working towards impressing in a game situation.

“FC Edinburgh will provide a good standard of competitive football and the fact he’s got Jack Brydon and EJ with him will help him make a smooth transition. He will also continue to work closely with us, so we can develop his game and watch how he develops.”

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

We really like what the club is doing with the DV side.

Allan has impressed when in and around the first team, and the loan should help with his development.

The fact he can also play for the DV side is a big bonus,

Good luck with FC Edinburgh Allan!
