Donny van de Beek & Dean Henderson to start for Man Utd vs Young Boys

Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has confirmed Donny van de Beek and Dean Henderson will start against Young Boys in the Champions League, while he's also confirmed two additions to his backroom staff.

United have already qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, owing to a superb win at Villarreal last time out.

That means Rangnick can afford to rotate his players in United's final group game, and the German revealed in his pre-match press conference that Van de Beek, who has continually been overlooked in midfield, will get his chance, as will goalkeeper Henderson - who has watched David de Gea return to top form this season.

"Well to start with they will both play tomorrow, in the first XI," Rangnick said when questioned about the two players. "Donny came on as a sub last Sunday. Dean is a very ambitious 'keeper, we need two."

Rangnick also confirmed that the game would come too early for Edinson Cavani and Raphael Varane, who have tentatively returned to training after injury: "They both cannot play tomorrow but they were part of the traning today. Edi even yesterday, Rapha the first time.

"Expect them both in full training next week. Both top players. It is also about sustainability. It would be great to have them as soon as possible, but obviously for rest of season."

From a backroom staff perspective, 63-year-old Rangnick also confirmed that he'll be bringing in Chris Armas as an assistant coach - somebody he is worked with closely during his time with the Red Bull group - as well as a sports scientist.

"It won't be that many. Very happy to work with staff I met last week, they gave me a lot of help," Rangnick remarked when asked how many people he'd be bringing into the club.

"We have decided to bring in sport scientist with Sasha Lense, he will be introduced as soon as he has visa and work permit. I will also have another assistant coach with Chris Armas."
