Respondents indicated varying levels of support for all six options with an interest free loan being the most preferred. There were a number of qualifications attached to some of the option choices in the responses.
There were some strong opinions expressed by the ‘No’ respondents.
Recommendations:
The recommendation is that the Board take into account the findings of the consultation when determining their response to the request from Dundee FC.
A proposal to the Club should be developed based on the following:
A donation from the current reserve based on the Members’ preferred average amount @ £34,000 x 50% = £17.000
That the donation takes into consideration the Members’ option preference percentages below:
1.1 Share purchase - £3230 (19%)
1.2 Interest free loan - £6,460 (38%)
1.3 DFC in the Community Trust - £1,870 (11%)
1.4 DFC Historical Trust - £1020 (6%)
1.5 Season tickets for schools and community groups - £3,230 (19%)
1.6 Stadium improvements to benefit supporters - £1,190 (7%)
