Christian Eriksen's Inter Contract Details Revealed as Dane Edges Closer to Tottenham Exit

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen is expected to sign a four-and-a-half year contract with Inter in the coming days, where he will earn a whopping £260,000-per-week as a basic salary.

The Dane joined Spurs in the summer of 2013 and has gone on to make over 300 appearances for the north London side.

Eriksen, who only has six months remaining on his current deal, has been heavily linked with a move away from the club for well over a year, with a number of sides interested in his services.

Italian giants Inter have been leading the race for his signature and despite Barcelona's last-gasp effort to recruit him, it was recently revealed that the two clubs had reached an agreement over the transfer of Eriksen.

The Guardian now report that the Nerazzurri have agreed to pay Spurs €20m (£16.7m) with the 27-year-old expected to undergo a medical 'early next week'. As for the player himself, he has agreed to put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal, which will see him earn £260,000 a week. However, this figure could rise to £320,000 a week with add-ons.

Eriksen's departure comes after a successful seven season stay in north London, where he managed to score 69 goals and provided 89 assists in 305 appearances for the club.

This season, however, while he has made 28 appearances in all competitions for the Lilywhites, he has only managed to start ten of his side's opening 24 Premier League games.

Should the Dane complete his switch to the Milan-based side, he will join Ashley Young and Victor Moses, who both recently completed moves to Inter.

Antonio Conte's men are currently second in Serie A after 20 matches, but are now four points behind title-rivals Juventus after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Lecce last time out.
