Chelsea vs Everton preview: How to watch on TV, live stream, kick-off time & prediction

Having just earned a 1-0 win over Liverpool, Chelsea must now fend off the other half of Merseyside if they want to keep their place in the top four.

Carlo Ancelotti's Everton will travel to Stamford Bridge on Monday, knowing that a victory would take them above the Blues and into their spot in the top four. It's a must-win for both sides, so we should be in for a treat.

Thomas Tuchel is yet to taste defeat as Chelsea boss, having fought off Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool in recent games, and he'll be keen to ensure that honeymoon period doesn't come to an end here.

Here's 90min's preview of the game.

Chelsea team news

Tammy Abraham has missed the last 2 games | Pool/Getty Images

Tammy Abraham has been the talk of the town recently, but for all the wrong reasons. He hasn't made either of the last two matchday squads, with a combination of an ankle injury and an inability to win over Tuchel working against him. He will hope to be fit enough to return and play some sort of role.

Fans may also see the return of Thiago Silva, whose seven-game absence with a thigh injury hasn't been as painful as most expected. In his place, Andreas Christensen has excelled at the heart of the defence, and fresh off the back of his man-of-the-match showing against Liverpool, he'll expect another start here.

Everton are still awaiting the return of midfielder James Rodriguez, who has missed the last two matches with injury. He was initially expected back for the recent 1-0 win over West Brom, as were Tom Davies and Seamus Coleman, but the trio were all rested in the end.

While those three could return, there will be no signs of long-term absentees Yerry Mina, Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Fabian Delph.

Prediction

Ancelotti will hope to keep Everton's run going | Pool/Getty Images

Jeez, this one really could go either way, couldn't it?

Chelsea have looked incredibly hard to beat since Tuchel's arrival, but they haven't always inspired in the attacking third. Everton will know that if they load up defensively, they might be able to keep the Blues at bay.

That being said, Ancelotti isn't going to set his team up to defend. He'll want a statement victory over a top-four rival, so expect both sides to play fast, free-flowing football. It's got all the ingredients to be a real corker.

Chelsea will come into the game feeling on top of the world after beating Liverpool, and Tuchel will be confident of walking away with the three points, but there's no way Everton will make it easy for them.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Everton
