The race for the Premier League title
The 2011/12 Premier League season has been the closest in many years. The two-horse races of previous seasons are no more, with Manchester City setting the pace at the top of the table, closely followed by local rivals Manchester United.
Surprise contenders Tottenham are still within reach should results go against the top two, but Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool now look very unlikely to be challenging as the season draws to a close in May.
